Jamie Delaney

Jamie Delaney is an MPH student at the Rutgers School of Public Health, Social and Behavioral Health Sciences Department. Jamie is a returning citizen and person in recovery who, during her undergraduate years, transferred her academic credits while institutionalized. She describes her experience as one of “rehabilitation through education.” Her lived experience sparked her purpose to help become a voice for vulnerable populations and to advance research and health equity. Besides having lived experience, she has worked closely with people in addiction as a treatment advocate and in public policy as a policy advocate. Her research interests includes: substance use disorder, mental health, social determinants of health, and health equity.
